An air curtain is a cooling system that uses the moving of air in a forced air environment to create a cooling atmosphere. The air enters a forced air environment and as it leaves the environment, it pulls the temperature of the air back into the home.
In an air conditioner, the flow of air is first from a humidifier into the room. Then it is drawn through the venting system to the air conditioner unit. The unit then transfers the cool air into the house.
Sometimes, there is a built-in heat or cold air pump located behind the unit. These pumps pull hot or cold air from the unit for use by the room’s occupants. Another common pump is located behind the fan motor.
The refrigerant gas is usually stored in large tanks to keep the unit operating at a high temperature. When air enters the room, it will draw in the refrigerant gas, which will then begin to draw in colder air. In this case, the refrigerant gas would be drawn out of the room by opening the doors and windows.
The cooler air is then pulled in by the fan. As the cooler air is drawn into the room, it passes over the fan, allowing the heated air to warm up and flow back out through the vents. As the colder air is drawn into the room, it flows over the fan, creating a draft that blows the colder air into the home.
In an air conditioner, one fan pulls in cool air and another fan pulls in warmer air. This system can be more efficient because air is drawn in and out of the system more effectively. It also allows for less movement of air within the unit than with a forced air system.
In some models, warmer air can be drawn into the system as well as cooler air. If there is not enough room in the house for two different sized rooms, some people will simply live in an air conditioner unit in the attic or basement, on the second floor. For rooms with such limited floor space, the air conditioner unit may be moved up to a higher level.
When the air conditioner is located high up in the ceiling, it is sometimes possible to see the unit through the top of the unit. When the top is open, it is possible to view the venting system. Some people prefer this appearance.
There are a number of ways to make the air conditioner unit that it installed on appear larger. In addition to providing space above the unit, the size of the room it is installed in can affect the appearance of the unit. For example, if a small room has a large size, the airflow that blows from the unit may feel like that of a larger room.
It is easy to add air curtains to an air conditioner to make it look larger. The unit is able to work more efficiently when there is some air to circulate around the unit.
The sizes of the air conditioner units can vary so much that it is impossible to fit them all inside a home. Because the units are available in a variety of different sizes, they are an economical choice.
While air conditioners are necessary to keep us cool, it is a good idea to give the windows in our homes a little breathing room. The air conditioner draws heat out of the room so it is not a wise choice to install the unit right above windows or other open spaces. An air curtain provides a natural cooling opportunity.
